Gate can be used at the top of the stairs
The Kidco Safeway Gate is the only expandable metal gate available. Can be used for crawling babies, adventurous toddlers and curious pets. Vertical slats deter climbing.
The Safeway Gate wall mounts securely and is extra sturdy and safe. Easily wall mounted using the enclosed hardware and template (no need for measuring tools!). For openings from 24.75" to 43.5" wide. It can be used as swinging door gate, or as a permanent window barrier. One hand release lets you swing open the gate in either direction.
The Safeway Gate is solidly constructed of heavy tubular steel, with a non-toxic white, plastic coating. The Safeway is 30.5" high. JPMA certified. Can be used at the top of stairs.
For additional length, use with one 24" extension. Only one extension per gate is recommended. All Kidco gates meet U.S. and European safety standards for taller, stronger, and narrower spacing gates that are easy to install correctly.
If you need to mount your Safeway gate to wood banisters, hollow wall, or wrought iron, you will need one Installation Kit (see Item #01010) for each side that is not being mounted to a solid, vertical wood surface.
